Seduction and Snacks the Movie releases 10/28/21 on Passionflix!

When I read Seduction & Snacks by Tara Sivec in 2012, I had never laughed that hard at a book. I laughed so hard I almost choked on a chip and laughed out my tampon. I couldn’t believe that there was another little child like mine with the mouth of a sailor. I fell in love with the whole group of friends, and I wrote my first TEN-star review (I think I have only written two).

I had another blogger friend who fell in love as well, and we had an amazing time interviewing both Tara, and her characters. Check out the first 2012 interview with Tara Sivec here. Then the fun really begins when we interview the characters!

As I got to know Tara online, I felt like I HAD to meet her, and maybe her friends. Back then, indie book signings weren’t a thing, and the indie book community was still pretty small and there were very few indie romance book bloggers. But I was determined to meet her, so a few of us decided to arrange our own intimate book weekend so us fans could meet Tara and some of my other favorite authors like RK Lilley, Raine Miller, Colleen Hoover, Abbi Glines, Jasinda Wilder, Katie Ashley, CC Wood and more. We chose a place with big suites so all the people we have been chatting with online would get to hang out all weekend, like a big slumber party.

Back then indie authors didn’t sell paperbacks on Amazon, so I had no idea the authors were going to show up with books and displays. I planned a luncheon with beautifully printed yearbooks so the authors would have something to sign (since I thought they only had e-books). Luckily we set everyone up at the bar and had a great lunch and signing.

That night we had a SEDUCTION and SNACKS outing! We rented a big bus that took us to Fairvilla, the biggest sex toy store in the world! And for snacks, everyone brought jello shots, pudding shots, and more. Can you imagine a bus full of 50+ drunk erotica-reading women at a sex toy store?

The next day was another hysterical day filled with facebook stalking my son and screaming goats with Jasinda Wilder. I even got my first (and only) tattoo to commemorate the occasion. Funny recaps are right here.

A few weeks after the first Wicked Book Weekend, a new book signing was announced: Book Bash! This was a huge signing, but by the month before, no after-party was announced so a few people talked me into throwing one. But first, the night before Book Bash Tara suggested a bus to a strip club. 21 of us went, and there was definitely some making out with Tara, by ALL of us. You can read about that right here.

When I planned the 3rd Wicked Book Weekend event, it really blew up, and I moved it to South Florida when Book Bash started in Orlando. Each year after that, Tara came with her famous Vibrator races, and in this video, you can also see Buffy, the real-life Liz!

Tara Sivec has remained my favorite author since 2012. She is the only author I actually text with and I can call a true friend. I love all of her books, but the gang from Seduction and Snacks are still my favorite book characters ever. I can absolutely say they changed my life because I never would have met all of my best friends if it wasn’t for Wicked Book Weekend, which would never have happened without these books.

I’m a Passionflix founding member. Movies are never as good as the book, right? Passionflix is changing that. They are taking our favorite romance novels and making them into movies. But they are giving authors the last say on everything. They are sticking crazy close to the books, and their casting is phenomenal. The Will by Kristen Ashley is one of my favorite books, and I loved the movie just as much. I was shocked at how perfect the locations and casting was.

But Seduction and Snacks is my baby. These imaginary people are like my friends. And so much of the book takes place inside Claire’s head, I couldn’t imagine how they would do it. Then Tara started sending me cast auditions and holy crap, I felt the magic!

Back in July, I visited the filming of Seduction and Snacks with Tara. The cast and crew were all having a fantastic time. They all loved the script and read the book. The director was amazing, and her sense of humor totally worked for this. The cast was immediate best friends, and the boy who played Gavin was just adorable. I got in the background of a few scenes, and we stayed at the set till 4am watching them shoot the frat party scenes.

They held the premiere last week at the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in Cleveland. Seeing it all put together with the music was amazing. The audience laughed out loud so many times! The world needs a feel-good movie like this. I love Passionflix, but this movie is so good that I want a bigger audience to see it. Seduction & Snacks would be a #1 hit on Netflix, I guarantee it!
