The Way We Fall (The Story of Us Book 1) by Cassia Leo

Maybe we shouldn’t have fallen so fast and so willingly.

Maybe we shouldn’t have moved in together before we went on our first date.

Maybe we should have given our wounds time to heal before we tore each other to shreds.

Maybe we should have never been together.

Houston has kept a devastating secret from Rory since the day he asked her to move in with him. But the tragic circumstances that brought them together left wounds too deep to heal.

Five years after the breakup, Houston and Rory are thrust together by forces beyond their control. And all the resentments and passion return with more intensity than ever.

Once again, Houston is left with a choice between the truth and the only girl he’s ever loved.

From New York Times bestselling author Cassia Leo comes a twisted and passionate love story that pushes the boundaries of loyalty.

Complete Submission: (The Submission Series, Books 1-8) by CD Reiss

All eight books of The Submission Series in one bundle. A huge value that will disappear very soon. Get it while it lasts!

Jonathan Drazen.
Gorgeous. Check.
Charming. Check.
Smart. Check.
Rich. Hey, I’m not gonna complain.
All the ingredients for a few nights of mind-blowing pleasure are right there. He’s made it perfectly clear he can’t love me, and I’m not out to fall in love either.
But I can’t stay away from him. He’s got this bossy way about him in bed. The word “Sir,” falls from my lips, and when he tells me to get on my knees…well, my knees have a mind of their own.
I got this. I can be his slave for a few nights and walk away unscathed.
We get in. Get it on. Get the hell out. Done.
He knows the line between love and lust. It’s right between my legs. Now, let’s see if that line blurs for me.

The Will (The Magdalene Series Book 1) by Kristen Ashley

Early in her life, Josephine Malone learned the hard way that there was only one person she could love and trust: her grandmother, Lydia Malone. Out of necessity, unconsciously and very successfully, Josephine donned a disguise to keep all others at bay. She led a globetrotting lifestyle on the fringes of the fashion and music elite, but she kept herself distant.

While Josephine was trotting the globe, retired boxer Jake Spear was living in the same small town as Lydia. There was nothing disguised about Jake. Including the fact he made a habit of making very bad decisions about who to give his love.

But for Josephine and Jake, there was one person who adored them. One person who knew how to lead them to happiness. And one person who was intent on doing it.

Even if she had to do it as her final wish on this earth.

My favorite book of 2014!

Soaring (The Magdalene Series Book 2) comes out next week and I love it just as much!

Unexpected Fate by Harper Sloan

Have you ever felt like you were living your life for a future that was predetermined? Like there was some bigger picture you just prayed you would someday see clearly? That picture has been crystal clear to me since I was old enough to recognize it for just what it was.

Or I should say recognize him for who he was.

I’ve loved Cohen Cage since I was a small child. He’s been my everything for the last twenty-two years. I’ve loved him through every girlfriend he’s ever brought home. Through his college years and then mine. I’ve loved him through two deployments. And ever since the day I told him how I felt, he’s acted like I’m a stranger.

My name is Danielle Reid, and it’s time for me to get my man.

Our future is an unexpected fate, and no matter what our parents, siblings, and friends say…it’s going to be worth every second of the fight to make it happen.

**This book is a standalone, HEA, with mature themes and sexual situations**

Acquiesce by Cory Cyr

****18+ due to adult language and explicit sexual content*****

Caspian Vance~former child prodigy, now an accomplished professor of human sexuality at twenty-six has it all—an IQ that’s off the charts, a stellar career at which he excels, and the drop-dead looks and body that make women spontaneously combust with lust.

He’s been studying sex and women’s behavior since he was sixteen. When it comes to the science of human lust and the rewards of sexual pursuits, he has all the answers.

There’s one thing he knows for sure: “love” has nothing to do with it.
Sex is a basic, primal human need—love is an unstable, emotional complication. Both are present in a person, but completely unrelated. His own world of logic and fact accepts this truth and now. . .

He’s going to prove it.

When Cass takes a sabbatical to research his theory in order to write his third book, he enlists the help of a former lover and now owner of the world’s most exotic and secretive male brothel catering strictly to wealthy older women. On this remote Caribbean island, he uses his keen sense of observation and research to prove “love” is merely a series of chemical reactions in the human brain—nothing more.

Nicola Barrington~ had the perfect life, married to her soul mate.Ten years into her one and only relationship, her idyllic world is shattered by the death of her beloved husband. The loss of her “one true love” sends her into seclusion where she spends the next eleven years pining for the man she still loves.

The beautiful heiress, stays hidden away, her only connection to the outside world being being the hired help and her two close friends. Her friends know Nic has much to live for and are eager to see her find love again. . . and if not love, they would settle for her rediscovering the throes of lust.

As her 40th birthday approaches, her two friends succeed in coaxing her out of her emotionally safe haven to celebrate with a trip to an exclusive resort known for “restoring an older woman’s brilliant, inner glow.”

Caspian’s superiority and logic combined with Nic’s innocence and melancholy are on an imminent collision course. Sometimes even a genius has a hard time figuring out a woman.

In Flight (Up in the Air Book 1) by RK Lilley

When reserved flight attendant Bianca gets one look at billionaire hotel owner James Cavendish, she loses all of her hard-won composure. For a girl who can easily juggle a tray of champagne flutes at 35,000 feet in three inch heels, she finds herself shockingly weak-kneed from their first encounter. The normally unruffled Bianca can’t seem to look away from his electrifying turquoise gaze. They hold a challenge, and a promise, that she finds impossible to resist, and she is a girl who is used to saying no and meaning it.

Bianca is accustomed to dealing with supermodels and movie stars in her job as a first class flight attendant, but James Cavendish puts them all to shame in the looks department. If only it were just his looks that she found so irresistible about the intimidating man, Bianca could have ignored his attentions. But what tempts her like never before is the dominant pull he seems to have over her from the moment they meet, and the promise of pleasure, and pain, that she reads in his eyes.

Secret Alpha (A is for Alpha Male Book 2) by Laurel Ulen Curtis

*Secret Alpha is book 2 in the A is for Alpha Male Series and is considered a companion novel to A is for Alpha Male. Please read A is for Alpha Male before reading this book.

I’m Dan Smith, and I’m currently living two lives. Maybe even three if you really look into it. Haley, Allison, Hunter, Wade, Sergio, and Isla all exist in one or more of them somehow.

Am I a supporting role in their stories, or are they merely characters in mine? You decide.

Haley told her story. Now I’ll tell mine.

She said. He said.

This is my story.

Warning: Some explicit language and sexual content.
Note: This is a full length novel at ~75,700 words. It is slightly longer than A is for Alpha Male

Gable Powers had all the makings of everything my father had ever warned me about: a reputation that was anything but stellar, a dirty mouth that had me shivering at the things he uttered in my ear, and a body (oh, God, that body) that was covered in tattoos, all of which added up to a solid ten-point-oh on the bad-boy scale.

The first time I met him, I instantly loathed him.

The second time was even worse.

He was a jerk. He was an ass.

He had secrets.

He was nothing I thought I ever wanted.

So why couldn’t I resist him?

Throttle Me (Men of Inked Book 1) by Chelle Bliss

Suzy’s a control freak and has her life mapped out – work hard, find a man with a stable job, and live happily ever after. She’s content with the status quo, but her plan comes to a screeching halt when he enters her life and turns it upside down.

City gave up on love when his heart was crushed in college, preferring to be the typical bachelor. He spends his nights hopping from one bed to another and his days working at his family tattoo shop, Inked. A chance encounter on a dark road makes him question what he had sworn off forever – a relationship.

A night of passion and lust causes them to question everything. Is City the knight in shining armor to the damsel in distress? Can their relationship survive when a fantasy falls apart and a secret comes out that changes everything?

This is the first book in the Men of Inked Series.

Publisher’s Note: This book contains explicit sexual situations, graphic language, and material that some readers may find objectionable.

Undescribable Box Set by Shantel Tessier

**AMAZON’S #1 BEST SELLER IN EROTICA.** 99¢

The Undescribable Box Set is three full-length novels in one. Undescribable, Unbearable and Uncontrollable.

Burned by her past, Samantha begins to build a new life for herself. Focusing on her new friends and rebuilding her broken life, Samantha is content.

Until she meets him—attorney by day and a cocky, foul mouth playboy by night. All girls want Slade Long, but not one has ever been able to keep his attention for long. Having a different woman in his bed every night is how he prefers it—no emotion, no connection.
Until he meets her—an angel with the sweetest voice he has ever heard and the most enticing green eyes. Samantha makes him second guess his actions and has him wanting something he didn’t know existed. How can a man who has never been in love, be so sure? Can real love happen this fast?

Grief.
How do you survive the loss of someone you thought didn’t love you…until it was too late?

Forgiveness.
How do you forgive the person who hurt you the most?

Fear.
How do you survive the person who won’t let you go?

Jealousy.
How can your heart continue to trust the person you thought you knew?

Betrayal.
How many secrets are too many?

Lust.
How can you say no, when your body screams yes?

Passion.
How can you deny a love that has no boundaries?

She thought she knew love…
He thought he never wanted love…
Together they will show each other what they can’t live without.

This is the Samantha and Slade’s complete story. Undescribable, Unbearable and Uncontrollable all in one box set.

Riskier Business (Entangled Select) (Crossing the Line) by Tessa Bailey

One more game. And this time, there are no rules…

After a life of pool hustling and living on the wrong side of the law, Ruby Elliott is living on the straight and narrow with sexy-as-all-hell NYPD detective, Troy Bennett. Now the only trouble Ruby has with the law is the naughty kind, pinned against the wall by Troy’s strict and spectacularly hard body. Obeying his every command. Both of them losing themselves in a lust that borders on obsession…

But then her father returns with an offer she can’t refuse: one last hustle in exchange for information. Information she’d die to have. As the pieces and the players of the game reveal themselves, Troy feels the fine edges of his control slipping—control he can’t channel without hurting Ruby. The stakes are high, and the risk higher. Because losing this final game could cost more than Ruby’s heart…it might cost her life.

FAVORITE BOOK/AUDIOBOOK THIS YEAR! Mary Jane by @j FAVORITE BOOK/AUDIOBOOK THIS YEAR! Mary Jane by @jessicaanyablau was so amazing, especially in audio. This coming-of-age novel set in 1975 was different than what I usually read, and I so enjoyed seeing the 14-year-old sheltered heroine see what life is like nannying for a progressive family who happens to be hiding a rock star for the summer.

Mary Jane is the perfect summer read, especially if you grew up during this time, and the narration by @caitlin.kinnunen was absolutely outstanding.

I couldn’t recommend it more.

The full cast narration and the production of this The full cast narration and the production of this “audioplay” is what made Seatmate a 5-star read for me. The storyline was cute and I loved the characters, but it wasn’t a deep, epic romance, it was a sweet and fun novella. Listening to it with headphones made it a full experience, and Amanda Ronconi and Zachary Webber felt so natural. I really felt like I was eavesdropping on a real conversation, and it just made Seatmate by @carabastone another 5 star favorite.
I love this whole series!

The Seven Husbands of Evelyn Hugo by @tjenkinsreid The Seven Husbands of Evelyn Hugo by @tjenkinsreid is such a layered story, and it’s an important one. There are messages and themes running throughout to embrace all of yourself, and it shows what women have had to do throughout the years to get ahead. It’s filled with brilliant social commentary without ever hitting you over the head with it. It’s light at times, heavy at others, but engrossing the whole time. This is a book I am happy to recommend to anyone looking for a great book with our asking any qualifying questions.

I’m just starting this audiobook about a couple I’m just starting this audiobook about a couple married for 35 years, about to get a divorce, when the pandemic lockdown hits. Will being forced to be “safe at home” together help or end the marriage faster?

Tell me, what are your thoughts on pandemic romances? Is it too soon? Personally, I like it. It feels weird to not mention something that has been part of our lives for over 2 years. I will let you know how I like it later this week, stay tuned!
